Ansel Adams

I am so happy I decided to come to the library to look at photography books because if I hadn't I still would have thought Ansel Adams was a woman! Ansel is a man! Who knew!? haha. oops. I looked at the book titled Ansel Adams 400 Photographs and thought every photo was just stunning! All of his photos show such great depth and range on the gray scale, which make them very interesting to look at and not the least bit boring. He also made great use of the natural highlights and shadows which created great contrast! I tend to like black and white photos with greater contrast than not so that is why I believe his images of the deserts really stood out to me. Ansel really captured the true beauty of nature! His images will take your breath away!
